We have the joy of currently having in stock, some hand woven baskets with strong leather handles, made in West Africa. 

Available in all sorts of woven patterns, styles, and color combinations, these durable baskets are sure to last for who knows how long a time.  We were at a show in Ft Washington, PA and a lady approached our booth to look at the baskets.  We noticed that she was carrying a basket that looked much like ours, except the colors were more pale and it seemed to have a patina.  She picked a basket and as she was paying for her new basket, she shared with us that this new basket was to replace the basket on her arm which she had bought used 15 years ago! 

The baskets come to us flattened, so we place them in the bathtub for a few minutes and then reshape them, shake the excess water away and let them dry overnight.  So when we receive an order to be shipped, we flatten the basket and send along a cute card that tells you how to take the basket "swimming" so it can be put back into shape.  You tell us the color combination of your choice and we will send them right along to you.
