TRADITIONAL/ 5 PATCH VEST

Pattern Description: Easy fitting lined vest with dropped and rounded fronts and optional piping.  Also included is a variation of front of pattern being five patches on each vest front.  Seam allowance is 4/8”.

                                       Fabric Requirements

                                     Width                XS – XL              2X - 3X   

            BACK:           44” --60”                  2/3 yd – ¾ yd              1 yd

            LINING:        44” – 45”             1 1/8 yds – 1 ¼ yds                 ½yds
                                                   54” – 60 ‘               ¾ yd   -- 1 1/8 yds                1 ¼ yds

          INTERLINING: (prewashed muslin)   1 yard of 25” for fronts

          INTERFACING: 1 yard of 25” for fronts

          FRONTS:  Each of the 10 patches on the front range in size from a
                fat eighth to a fat quarter, chosen perhaps from your personal collection!

Variations:  Use Tapestry and piping for a very Dressy Vest; Make the back different from the two fronts; Use 6, 8 or even 10 different fat quarters and/or fat eighths.
